"Helping adults, looking for a quality counselling service, to address their psychological symptoms and stress"
Session Duration
Initial Session (60-90 minutes) At Psychology Centre, we want to gain a thorough understanding of your difficulties and therapy goals. This is why we operate a little differently to other clinics, providing longer initial sessions, at no extra cost to the client.
Subsequent Sessions: 50 minutes in duration with 10 minutes allocated for note-taking, after the session.
How many sessions do I need?
The answer to this question varies and is dependent upon your needs.
Some clients' situations may only require a few sessions to help them get back-on-track or to address a specific stress.
There are also clients who just want to have a regular or occasional 'download' or debrief regarding general life stresses, so as to not feel that they are burdening their friends or family.
Then there are clients who have more long-standing problems or symptoms of trauma, which need at least 10 sessions.
